The Saudi Air Connectivity Program (ACP) celebrated the arrival of the inaugural flight of the Chinese national carrier, China Airlines, that landed safely today at King Khalid International Airport (RUH), reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Riyadh Airports Company organized an honorable ceremony marking this historic moment between both the Kingdom and China.
ACP and other key partners from the air connectivity system in the Kingdom have attended the celebration. Furthermore, they highlighted the significance of the growing Saudi Chinese cooperation in tourism sector.
China & Saudi Arabia Relations
The Kingdom and China have a long momentous history of deep relations and communication. Now they have culminated this history with this milestone success.
The CEO of ACP Majid Khan, said: “We are proud of our partnership with China Airlines, and we are pleased that the leading airlines in China will start launching direct flights between Beijing and Riyadh.”
This collaboration aims to provide more than 45,000 seats annually for flights between the Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) and the King Khalid International Airport (RUH).
Accordingly, economic cooperation and trade flows are expected to grow in the upcoming years. “This cooperation reveals our ongoing efforts to enhance air connectivity with China,” Khan added.
This promising success highlights the tangible effects of the Saudi Vision 2030 on the tourism sector, indicating potential for continued growth and development. It reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to ensure smooth access for all visitors who are excited to discover its enriching history.
“We renew our commitment to cooperate with airlines and airports from all over the world to ensure smooth access for our visitors,” Khan remarked.
