Saudi Crown Prince Meets Palestinian President

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman welcomed the Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas in Riyadh on Monday, reported Al Arabiya.

They discussed the military escalation in Gaza and its surroundings and the worsening situation that threatens the lives of civilians and the security and stability of the region. The Crown Prince stressed that the Kingdom is making every effort to communicate with all international and regional parties to stop the ongoing escalation and prevent its expansion in the region

Moreover, the Saudi Crown Prince welcomed in Riyadh today, the British Foreign Secretary David Cameron on the sidelines of the special meeting of the World Economic Forum held in Riyadh.

During the meeting, aspects of relations between the two countries, areas of joint cooperation and ways to enhance and develop them were reviewed, in addition to discussing regional developments, especially the military escalation that Gaza is currently witnessing, and the international efforts made in this regard.

On Monday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken landed in Riyadh, marking the beginning of his new diplomatic mission aimed at promoting a much-needed Israel-Hamas ceasefire and bolstering humanitarian aid for the Gaza Strip.

During their discussion, both parties explored opportunities to strengthen relations and cooperation between their respective nations. They also addressed the recent developments in the Gaza Strip, including the situation in Rafah. Emphasizing the urgency, they called for an immediate ceasefire and discussed efforts to ensure the prompt delivery of essential humanitarian aid to Gaza.
