Saudi Holidays, AlUla Forge Strategic Tourism Partnership

Saudi Holidays, in cooperation with AlUla  announced a strategic partnership through a memorandum of understanding (MoU), as part of their participation in the Arabian Travel Market 2024 exhibition. This partnership aims to enhance the travel experience to AlUla, and provide offers tailored to meet diverse tourism needs.

As part of the partnership, the Kingdom will offer 6 weekly flights from Jeddah and Riyadh: 4 weekly flights from Riyadh (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays) and 2 flights from Jeddah (Thursdays and Sundays). These flights can be booked separately or as part of inclusive packages that cover flight tickets, accommodation, transportation, and tours via www.holidaysbysaudia.com.

Arvid Mohlen, the Chief Commercial Officer of Saudi Arabia, stated: “Expanding our services to offer frequent trips to AlUla is part of our efforts to improve guest satisfaction. Moreover, through this partnership, we’re dedicated to providing a unique travel experience from the moment you consider booking with us.”

“We are working to provide a trip rich in the cultural and historical richness of AlUla. Our goal is to ensure a trip characterized by comfort and opportunities for exploration.”

On her part, Executive Director of Destination Marketing at the Royal Commission for AlUla, Melanie de Souza, said: “Our cooperation with Saudia Holidays represents a great commitment to ensuring that every visit represents a unique experience for our guests.”

She added: “By aligning AlUla’s marketing efforts more broadly with Saudi Arabia, we aim to make AlUla more accessible to both Saudi residents and international travelers, transforming it into a year-round destination showcasing its historical heritage and top-notch hospitality.”

“This partnership will also help us strike a balance between promoting tourism and conserving AlUla’s distinctive cultural and environmental features.”

Marketing Collaborations, Initiatives

The partnership involves co-branded digital marketing campaigns in the Kingdom, promotions via the Al Fursan loyalty program, and employee education programs to enhance their understanding of AlUla. Additionally, a dedicated page will showcase 3-4 travel offers to AlUla, fostering educational, cultural, and economic benefits for visitors.

The partnership with Saudi Arabia supports the first-ever global marketing campaign for AlUla, “Forever Revitalizing”, which was launched on February 29. It will continue until the end of the year in nine countries in six languages. Furthermore, the activity aims to enhance the global perception of AlUla through innovative and comprehensive marketing strategies and travel offers.
